Second round discussion held on National Information Security Documents

Information Network Security Agency (INSA) held the second round discussion on various National Information Security documents with stakeholders from key public infrastructure delivering institutions, banking and financial institutions and representatives from regional ICT Development Agency. The discussion was aimed at creating awareness on information security, establishing cooperation with stake holders and gathering feedback on the draft documents.

National Cyber Security Strategy, National Information Security Governance, National Information Security Regulation Framework, and Minimum Security Requirement Standard are the legal documents presented for discussion.

In the occasion, the strategic foundations of INSA and Information Security World Practice and Ethiopia's Reality were among the topics the participants discussed on.

It was disclosed in the discussion that INSA is taking various measures to mitigate the professional limit in the area of information security technology. The measures include curriculum revision in collaboration with higher education institutions, talent search schemes through facilitating a National Talent Management, and motivating more private sectors to join the technology sector.

The documents are expected to be forwarded for ratification after the inclusion of the feedback from the various stake holders.
