The National Spatial Information Technology Policy has been ratified The National Information Technology Policy, which was prepared by
Information Network Security Agency (INSA), has been ratified on October 14, 2016. The Council of Ministers in its 16th regular meeting ratified the Policy after making some amendments. The main purpose of the policy is to assist the National Development Goals through ensuring ownership of Spatial Information Technology and through providing quality, timely and reliable Spatial Information. Furthermore, the policy has a role of protecting the National security by minimize the risks that come with dependency on Spatial Information Technology.
