Cyber security awareness training has been given for information technology officials from the regional and city administrations by Information Network Security Agency.

In the opening remarks, Mr. Yidnekachew Worku, Deputy Director-General of the Information Network Security Agency (INSA), said that the transition to technology should be taking into account the issue of cyber security.

"It is difficult to ensure cyber security if we do not have international competitiveness," Yednekachew adds.

He suggested that regional and city administrations should take a responsibility to equip modern technology as well as educating the public as one of their main tasks.

During the training session, Gedamu G / Jesus, a cyber-security expert at INSA, briefed the participants on the nature and characteristics of cyber-attacks, cyber security threats, the pros and cons of cyber in the information and communication sector.
