INSA Provides Cybersecurity Awareness Training to Addis Ababa City Council Experts

Information Network Security Administration (INSA) conducted a cybersecurity awareness and resilience training for experts and leaders of the Addis Ababa City Council Secretariat.

The training focused on cyber identity, susceptibility to cyberattacks, awareness-building, and information security management. Participants were given detailed guidance on how to prevent potential cyber risks that could affect their day-to-day work.

Opening the session, the head of the Secretariat, Mrs. Jewaria Qeli, emphasized that with the rapid expansion of technology, safely using information has become increasingly critical. She highlighted that developing awareness on cybersecurity is essential for handling information management and usage with particular care.

She also noted that the increase in cyberattacks and potential digital system breaches not only affects institutions but can also have a significant impact on the broader society. The Secretariat is actively working on enhancing human capacity in digital technology to strengthen cybersecurity resilience.

The training provided by INSA for the council’s leaders and experts aims to promote a culture of information protection within the institution and equip them with the knowledge to proactively address modern cybersecurity challenges.
