INSA Leadership and Staff Plant Trees as Part of Ethiopia’s National “One-Day” Tree-Planting Campaign

The higher leaders and staff of the Information Network Security Administration (INSA) took part in Ethiopia’s nationwide tree-planting campaign, themed “Let Us Plant Hope,” contributing to the historic Green Legacy Initiative, which set a target of planting 800 million seedlings in a single day across the country.

INSA officials and employees gathered at the designated planting site early in the morning and planted seedlings, demonstrating their commitment to responding to the national call and their institutional dedication to environmental protection.

Delivering a message at the event, INSA Director General, Her Excellency Ms. Tigist Hamid, stated:

“Just as safeguarding our country's cyberspace and digital sovereignty is our primary institutional mission, actively participating in the national effort to build a greener and more resilient Ethiopia for tomorrow is a civic and institutional responsibility shared by all of us.”

She further emphasized the importance of caring for the planted seedlings, stating:

“Every seedling we plant today represents the air of life and hope that we leave for future generations. Therefore, beyond planting the seedlings, we must also focus on nurturing them, ensuring their growth and enabling them to deliver lasting results.”

INSA had been undertaking the necessary preparations to contribute to the achievement of the national target of planting 8.5 billion seedlings during the current rainy season, as well as the goal of planting 800 million seedlings in a single day.

While effectively carrying out its mandate to safeguard the country's information and information infrastructure, INSA will continue strengthening its active participation in national development and environmental protection initiatives.
