Senior officers and leaders from the Defense War College, under the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, conducted an educational working visit to the headquarters of Information Network Security Administration (INSA).
The main objective of the visit was to help the senior officers connect the theoretical knowledge of security and warfare they acquired in the classroom with practical technological capabilities. In particular, the visit was noted as highly valuable in enhancing their understanding of cyber warfare, which is becoming a central domain in modern warfare, and in assessing the country’s cyber defense preparedness.
During the visit, INSA’s Deputy Director General, Mr. Daniel Guta, welcomed the college members and provided a briefing on the institution’s efforts to protect the country’s critical information infrastructure from cyber threats, as well as ongoing initiatives to ensure technological self-reliance.
In their remarks, the senior officers emphasized that future warfare will increasingly be determined not only on land, sea, and air, but also in cyberspace. They highlighted that such experience-sharing visits play a significant role in strengthening national security capacity.
